Sozo Next Gen Blue. 022uF 500VDC
For a Vintage Tone without the Vintage Prices. Who uses Sozos; PRS and Bogner Amplification are the most notable converts.

The leads on Sozos capacitor are a superior tin coated pure copper lead style, which aid in replicating the sound they strove to reproduce. They are not the cheaper copper clad steel which deliver only 30% of pure coppers conductivity. The length of the capacitor in reference to the diameter participates in the behavior of the frequencies and current delivery rate of the capacitor (called its slew rate). Keeping the same dimensions dramatically changed the sound and the capacitor was again made true to the original. The result is the audio signal leaves the capacitor at the same rate as the original retaining its performance. It will take up to 100 hours of break in for the capacitor to operate to its full potential. The dielectric will polarize and develop a pattern creating a clearer, full frequency Sound/Tone.

Sozo has learned a few lessons by having a spec OEM winder up the prices on them, without ever sharing the winding specs, so Sozo was left to pick up the pieces, find a new winder and redesign a capacitor. Sozos won't fail so long as the working voltages are not exceeded. Now we come to the truth test. Sozos tend to hold a better Q at lower frequencies than their Mullard and Ajax vintage counterparts. From about 150-300 Hz, on up, they Sozo caps follow the same curves as the Very Best Vintage caps, very nicely. Great Highs, Mids and Sozos will have a tighter;

 

These caps are not unlike a new speaker and will sound best after being broken in for several hours.
